Melrose Police, Community Member Rescue 9 Ducklings From Storm Drain

When the ducklings fell into a storm drain in Melrose, a police officer and community member jumped into action to save them.

MELROSE, MA – “‘No job too big, no *duck* too small!’” Melrose Police wrote on Facebook, referencing the hit kids TV show Paw Patrol, after rescuing several ducklings from a storm drain.

But unfortunately, there was a duckling that was too small – nine of them, to be exact.

On Wednesday, nine ducklings fell through a storm drain in Melrose.

Melrose Police Officer Alexander Wilson and a community member quickly teamed up to rescue the ducklings from the drain.

Officer Wilson and the community member acted quickly, removing the ducklings from the storm drain so they could join momma duck waiting anxiously nearby.
