If you can put down your shovels long enough to look around, or turn off your snow blowers, try and see the beauty of this bomb cyclone snowstorm of 2018.

Seeing that beauty would definitely not be an easy task for those whose cars are submerged or have been during and following the storm or those who have had to be evacuated due to flooding and other issues. Yet for those lucky enough to have survived the blast without losing power, or heat or their cars, the ice cold temperatures are providing Mother Nature’s crystal ice patterns and many contrasts as the bright white snow that has has not been shoveled or dumped into streets sticks with us as it settles onto tree branches in wooded areas.

Before you think I have braved this morning’s dip in the temperature and the picked up my shovel in one hand (again) with my camera in the other, I have not. These photos were taken from inside a warm, cozy home – my own.
