Melrose Webinar On Sustainable, People-Focused Transportation Options

Residents will hear from transportation advocacy groups about e-bike news and safer infrastructure.

MELROSE, MA – Residents of Melrose looking to learn more about sustainable transportation alternatives can take part in a free webinar later this week.

The ‘Melrose in Motion!’ webinar will be held this Thursday from 7 p.m. to 8:30 p.m. and is hosted by the City of Melrose and the Melrose Pedestrian & Bicyclist Committee.

The talk will cover topics such as how the state’s new e-bike rebates will work, how to improve transit through an electric Haverhill line – which has experienced service disruptions since February – the latest in public transit investments, and the Northern Strand Community Pathway.

“Expanded use of low-carbon mobility options like walking, biking, and transit are some of the best ways Melrose residents can reduce transportation emissions,” according to the event summary.

Residents will hear from the state’s leading transportation advocacy groups Massachusetts Bicycle Coalition (MassBike), TransitMatters, and Bike to the Sea.
