SLATTERY, James C., Sr. – 73, Of Melrose, formerly of Somerville on May 13, 2018. Beloved husband of 55 years to Janet L. (Burns). Dear son of the late Margaret (Molloy) and William J. Slattery, Sr. Loving father of Steven J. and his wife Kimberly of South Carolina, Michael J. and his wife Karen of Middleton, Christopher J. and his wife Meg of Plymouth, Scott J. and his wife Emerie of Pelham, NH and James C. Slattery, Jr. of Cambridge. Brother of William J. Jr., Barbara Sheehan and her husband David, Robert J. Slattery and his wife Joan. Cherished grandfather of Nicole, Kandace, Dillon, Michael, Allison, Jason, Dana, Isabelle, Molly, and Liam. Great grandfather of Mason.

Funeral procession from the George L. Doherty Funeral Home 855 Broadway (Powder House Sq.) Somerville Thursday morning at 10:00 am followed by a Funeral Mass in St. Clement Church, Somerville at 11:00 am. Relatives and friends invited. Calling Hours Wednesday 4-8 pm. Interment Puritan Lawn Cemetery, Peabody.

Jim was the owner and operator of Alarm Systems of America in Melrose, veteran of the US Navy during Vietnam Era and a member of VFW Post, Melrose.
