Red Hatters July 2024

by Shirley Rabb

This was a hot and humid month but we kept on going..

On July 11th we headed to Chauncey Creek Lobster Pier in Kittery Point Maine.

We ordered at the window and our food was delivered to our table by some "young" people.

There was lobster rolls , chowder and a variety of sea food, and a view of a peaceful water scene.

A beautiful day on the water, good food and good friends; you just can't go wrong.

On July 21st

four of us went to the Reagle Players to see the musical " All Shook Up" .

Starting with "Jailhouse Rock" , "Love me tender", and "Blue Suede Shoes" .We had a great time hearing the music of Elvis Presley for two wonderful hours. (with an intermission) when the music stopped, and the applause shook the hall.

It is always fun to remember songs we grew up with when we could tap our feet and swing the hips.

It was back to the 99 restaurant in Stoneham for dinner, where we always enjoy the food and service. (Just couldn't straighten out the picture)

July 28th. back to see the Old Tymers baseball game in Newbury. This is an every year stop for us because it is so much fun. The teams today were Lowell and Lynn; two of the four teams in the league.

We bring our own chairs and sit on the grass close up to the players, and we can chat back and forth to the team members.

The only female on the team got three hits today.

You can notice the old time uniforms; the rules are a bit different, and the fun antics just add to the joy of being out to a ball game.

Just like a "field of Dreams". Remember?

Our dinner stop was Supino's in Danvers on route 1. The food is Italian and plentiful and the waitress was excellent ,but two of the three of us were not impressed.

So ends the month of July...Another time gone by and half the year as well.

Keep an eye on us we are heading into August 2024 and looking for great times.
