MELROSE, MA — The regional Polymnia Choral Society will bring the words of poet Robert Frost to musical life next month as it hosts its first holiday concert in roughly three years, chorus organizers recently announced.

The concert is set for Dec. 3 with doors opening at 7 p.m. at the St. Mary of the Annunciation Church in Melrose, located at 46 Myrtle St.

The choral society draws members from Melrose, Malden, Wakefield, Stoneham, Saugus and beyond. Its upcoming concert will include a rendition of “Frostiana,” which sees the poems of Robert Frost set to choral music by composer Randall Thompson.

“This concert is designed to evoke memories and images of the winter season through various musical pieces, and the words of Robert Frost set to music,” organizers said last week. “Feel free to sing along with us as we sing carols and other holiday favorites!”
