SAUGUS, MA — A science teacher at Saugus Middle High School was arrested Thursday and charged Friday after prosecutors said she was found bringing fentanyl onto school grounds, according to multiple reports.

Police said that Roxanne Plaskon, 52, was found to have had six grams of fentanyl inside a pill bottle after a suspicious substance was found in a faculty bathroom, NBC10 Boston reported, citing police.

Plaskon told police that she took the drug for pain and had done so in the faculty bathroom that morning, according to the outlet. She wouldn't say where the drug came from, the outlet reported.
