MILFORD, MA — The Milford man accused in the road rage killing of a Milford woman in Hopkinton in April will continue to be held without bail, according to multiple reports from a court hearing Tuesday.

According to law enforcement, Ryan Sweatt, 36, hit Destini Decoff, 26, also a Milford resident, after a road rage incident along Route 85 in Hopkinton on April 4. When Decoff got out of a vehicle during the confrontation, Sweatt rammed her with his car, Ryan has said. Decoff died days later at UMass Memorial in Worcester.

Sweatt was initially charged with assault and battery with a dangerous weapon causing serious bodily injury, operating to endanger, and a marked lanes violation, though he was later formally charged with murder.

He has pleaded not guilty to all charges brought against him in court, apparently telling officers at the scene that multiple people in the other vehicle had knives and were trying to confront him, according to NBC10 Boston and WCVB, which cite prosecutors in court.

Prosecutors reject these claims, saying that they are rebuffed by surveillance footage and witness statements, NBC10 Boston continued. Officials added that Decoff was propelled "into the air and down the road approximately 60-75 feet" when Sweat hit her with his car.
