This unique program has been held for three years in Milford.

MILFORD, MA—This year's Summer Leadership Academy, built by the Milford High School athletic department, celebrated its third year this summer. The three day event included an agenda included appearances by soccer coach Jay Mastaj, a trip to HOCK YMCA for adventure programming, teamwork module, action planning with field hockey coach Kim Danish, leadership demo and a lot more.

The focus was "Forging the Future," the goal to give captains "the very best tools, information, and vision possible to encourage them to be the very best leaders they can be this upcoming season and in the future...we are striving to empower them to make a difference as they move forward in their lives," said Athletic Director Peter Boucher, who added that the program is very unique and the department is proud to offer it.

"We are able to offer this Leadership Academy thanks to the dedication of our coaching staff who are our facilitators of our topic-specific modules," said Boucher in a statement, "and the support of Milford Public Schools School Committee & Administration (both Central Admin, MHS Admin, and Stacy Admin), Community Groups such as Milford Department of Health, Milford Community Use, Petro, and Milford High School SPED Dept."
