Acapulcos Mexican Restaurant In Needham Closes

NEEDHAM, MA — Acapulcos, a chain of Mexican restaurants, has closed its Needham location, according to Boston Restaurant Talk. The Needham location provided a family-friendly place to get tacos, burritos, and more, since it moved from Newton 10 years ago.The Sudbury-based company removed the restaurant, located at 1 1st Ave., from its website, leaving the chain with nine restaurants throughout Massachusetts and Connecticut.

The closing of Acapulcos leaves Needham without a Mexican restaurant temporarily, but it shouldn't be that way for long. The Hungry Coyote, located across from Needham High School at 1185 Highland Avenue, is one of two Mexican restaurants expected to open next month. Pancho's Taqueria, located at 1450 Highland Avenue, is also expected to open in July.
