Playing music is even more fun when it’s social! Come join a band. Whether you’re new to music or have been playing for years, all skills are welcome! Grab that mic or instrument and let’s do this!

Plugged In Band Program of Needham, MA offers Band Class for all ages: youth through adults. Our Private Music Lessons are great for those who want to hone their present skills or try something brand new.  Enrollment in Fall Band Class is now open. Fall session classes begin September 16th.

Rock Band Classes are for everyone! Students are placed into bands of 4-6 students according to age and skill, youth through adults. In class, students develop a setlist of original and/or cover songs. Small classes translate to every bandmate playing in every song. With the support of trained music teachers, the bands practice weekly in 1.5 hour sessions, working toward performing in a community-wide benefit concert in support of a charity selected by the session’s student.

In Private Music Lessons, students are paired with professional music teachers to learn, or improve their skills. With one-on-one instruction, each student receives undivided attention and personalized feedback. Lessons are offered seven days a week.

Since 2002, Plugged In’s approach has been to educate and celebrate performers at all stages of their music-making journeys and our position is that music classes should be open to everyone regardless of disability or ability to pay.

"Some people think music education is a privilege, but I think it's essential to being human." - Jewel

Here, students thrive in a learning environment without hierarchies. Through collaboration with bandmates, students grow their self-confidence, sharpen interpersonal skills, and develop empathy. Students leave Plugged In with a clear sense of how their art is of value to their communities.

We are proud to participate in Mass Cultural Council's Card to Culture program in collaboration with the Department of Transitional Assistance, the Department of Public Health's WIC Nutrition Program, the Massachusetts Health Connector, and hundreds of organizations by making cultural programming accessible to those for whom cost is a participation barrier.

Enrollment in Fall Band Class is now open. Fall session classes begin September 16th.  Private Music Lessons have rolling enrollments. Registration for all programming can be completed online at www.pluggedinband.org.
