NEEDHAM, MA — A new Italian restaurant is opening in Needham this summer, and if anyone is a fan of the Food Network's "Cutthroat Kitchen," its owner is a familiar face. Mike Fucci, who won the competition during an episode of the reality show's 2017 season, told the Needham times he hopes to have the restaurant, Chef Mike's open by July. According to Fucci, the restaurant will be a fast-casual eatery, which focuses on offering fresh Italian cuisine without the fuss of a fancy restaurant.

"Enough of the obnoxious foofy crap that goes on a plate ...," Fucci said. "It doesn’t have to be $300 to take your family out to eat, when you could go to a restaurant and spend a quarter of that for the same product."

Chef Mike's will be located at 73 Highland Avenue, the former home of D'Angelo Grilled Sandwiches.
