​Event Benefits the Plugged In Band Program

Over 200 guests attended Plugged In Band Program’s event the British Invasion of Needham Returns, a fundraiser for Plugged In’s Scholarship and Inclusion Fund. The event was the hottest ticket in town as temperatures spiked over 90 degrees. The evening featured Beatlejuice and Friends, Boston’s #1 Beatles cover band, on Saturday, May 21, 2022 on the Needham Town Common. The event provided an evening of amazing music, dancing, and a delicious dinner provided by Captain Marden’s Cod Squad. Plugged In would like to thank the Town of Needham for permitting the use of the Town Common for the event, it was a beautiful night and everyone was thrilled to be outside.

Let It Be Sponsors were Needham Bank, Cannistraro, and iZotope. Sgt. Pepper’s Lonely Hearts Club Band Sponsors were Middlesex Savings Bank, Music Go Round, Olin College of Engineering, and Village Bank. Rubber Soul Sponsors were Condon Realty, Copley Motorcars, Exchange Club of Needham, NEC Solar, Raffol and Company. Roche Bros., Rotary Club of Needham, Volante Farms, and Wegmans.

Proceeds from the event supported the Plugged In Band Program Scholarship and Inclusion Fund.

Since 2002 Plugged In Band Program has been empowering youth to use music to make positive change in the world and instilling in them the confidence to do so. Plugged In provides ensemble band classes, private lessons, music technology programs, cross-cultural programs and summer camp and is a welcoming place where young musicians can express their creative side, be nurtured, and learn to give back to their community. What makes Plugged In special is a commitment to including all students, regardless of their ability to pay or the costs associated with accommodating students with special needs.
