Holiday House Tour & Marketplace, the tradition continues

Needham Women's Club annual event is a highlight of the holiday season

Sunday, December 9th was a wonderful day to celebrate the upcoming holidays in Needham. The Needham Women's Club (NWC) 21st Annual Holiday House Tour, presented by Beth Israel Deaconess Hospital-Needham, hosted approximately 500 people. A variety of holiday celebrations and traditions were on display at beautifully decorated homes throughout the town.

This year the NWC had five houses on the Tour and for the second year featured the Holiday Marketplace, “Gifts that Give Back”. All of the festivities began at the Center at the Heights where there were refreshments and a children’s choir to provide the right atmosphere for the shoppers. We would like to extend a very special thank you to all the Needham homeowners that opened their homes and decorated for the holidays, for which this event would not be possible.

The NWC thanks this year's Presenting Sponsor, Beth Israel Deaconess Hospital-Needham and Patron Sponsors: Avita of Needham, Bulfinch Group, Dedham Savings Bank, Home Trends, Needham Bank, Provider Group, Roche Bros./Sudbury Farms, Volante Farms, and Wayland Kitchens of Needham.

The net proceeds from the Tour will support a variety of vital Needham organizations. In the past the NWC has supported, the Charles River Center, Circle of Hope, Needham Community Council, Needham Education Foundation, New Year’s Needham, Parent Talk, Tippet House, and Walker School. A percentage of the proceeds from the Holiday Marketplace will support A Gift of Warmth; a Needham based home heating assistance program.

Founded in 1935, the Needham Women’s Club is an intergenerational organization open to all women in Needham. Our goals are to make Needham an even better place to live and work through volunteer work and giving grants to deserving individuals and organizations in Needham and surrounding areas. The organization raises money through a series of Needham-based community events. The Holiday House Tour is the single largest fundraiser the Club does all year. The NWC is a social organization that meets monthly, organizes interesting topic speakers, and gets together to have fun. Anyone interested in membership should contact Suzanne Saevitz at [email protected] or visit our website www.needhamwomensclub.org.
