Joshua Levy Runs for Needham Select Board

Josh is excited to be running as a candidate for Needham Select Board in the April 11, 2023 election and looks forward to applying his knowledge, experience, and passion to the role. For over a decade, he has contributed to the governance and operations of Needham as an elected Town Meeting member (12 years) and as a member of the Finance Committee (5 years), where he served as chair this past year. With his deep understanding of Needham’s operations and finances, Josh brings a detail-oriented approach to issues with care and thoughtfulness.

Some of his priorities include improving street safety for drivers, pedestrians and bicyclists; financing the reconstruction and renovation of Mitchell and Pollard; and reducing or eliminating sources of PFAS contamination in Needham’s water supply. He also prioritizes constituent services, focusing on increased communication and transparency with residents.

“I enjoy addressing the needs and challenges of Town departments as they deliver services to residents, and I bring an inquisitive mindset to every issue that I consider,” Levy said. “With my knowledge and experience of Needham’s government and operations, I look forward to serving as member of the Select Board, where I will continue to ask probing questions and contribute to the healthy operations and governance of our Town.”

Josh grew up in Needham and attended Needham Public Schools. He and his wife are now raising their one-year-old son in town. Professionally, he serves as an analytical consultant, facilitating patient access to needed medicines across the intricate US healthcare landscape.
