NEEDHAM, MA — With the new year and the winter season in full gear, the Needham High School boys' basketball team is turning heads.
In the latest polls, the Rockets are the top team in the Boston Globe Top 20 the Boston Herald Eastern Mass. Top 25. Through six games, Needham is 6-0.
The fast start should come as no surprise. The defending MIAA Division 1 South champions, led by future Brown Bear Thomas Shaughnessy, were expected to be contenders this season.
