NEEDHAM, MA — Needham is bracing for the incoming nor'easter to throw a blanket of snow over the town and has its refurbished snow plow ready to go.

Needham's Department of Public Works posted on Facebook about the debut of the department's refurbished 2002 Volvo 10-wheel heavy truck, a heavy-duty snow plow that's set to hit the streets on Monday.

"The Fleet Division took on this significant project as a solution to shortages in available outside contractors for the Town’s Snow & Ice program. Team project lead, Paul Rossi headed up the project with the intent of doing much of the work in-house which resulted in significant savings over utilizing private outside repair venders," the post reads.

The department nicknamed the plow "Snow Fighter" and is eager to get it back in the ring, so to speak.
