Needham High School Students Accepted to Prestigious Music Festival

Friends of Music

Twenty five Needham High School students who auditioned against students from across eastern Massachusetts were accepted into the Massachusetts Music Educators Association Senior Districts 2022 Music Festival. These talented and accomplished teens will join their peers to create four separate ensembles: a chorus, a jazz band, an orchestra, and a concert band. The ensembles rehearse together for one weekend in January and then have a public performance.

Thirteen of the students were additionally recommended to audition for the prestigious Massachusetts Music Educators Association All State Festival, which will perform at Symphony Hall in March. (Indicated by an *)

These students are supported by, among others, their families, the Needham Public Schools Fine and Performing Arts Department, and their teachers. Needham High School teachers and band leaders include Spencer Parrish, Alex Lee-Clark, and Jonathan VenderWoude.
