Needham July 4th Fireworks, Parades and More: 2018 Guide

It's going to be two days of fun down at Memorial Park.

NEEDHAM, MA — With the 4th of July around the corner, Needham is getting ready for their own celebration!

Needham's 4th of July fireworks will take place on the night of July 3 at Memorial Park. The next morning will feature a full day's worth of events including the parade, races, and plenty of entertainment!

July 3 at Memorial Park

The night begins at 5:30 p.m. with food and entertainment, followed by fireworks once it gets dark.

July 4

Following the parade, there will be a craft fair, flea market, athletic events, food and entertainment at Memorial Park.

Road Closures via the Needham Police Department

July 3

  • Highland Avenue will be closed at 7 p.m. between Carey Road and Oakland Avenue and will be impassable until 11 p.m.
  • Rosemary Street will be closed from Webster Street to Highland Avenue at 5 p.m and from Hillside Avenue to Highland Avenue at 6 p.m.
  • Kingsbury Street will be closed from Webster Street to Oakland Avenue at 5 p.m.
  • All other roads will be open but will be extremely congested with traffic.
  • Webster Street will remain open will be crowded and impassable after the fireworks from 9:45 to 10:45 p.m.

July 4

  • Great Plain Avenue between Webster and Garden streets will be closed from 8 to 11:30 a.m.
  • Highland Avenue between Hunnewell Street and Great Plain Avenue will be closed from 8 to about 11:30 a.m.
  • Webster Street between High and May streets will be closed from 8 to 11:30 a.m.

If you decide to take in the festivities, be aware of the hot weather. The National Weather Service's forecast for both days calls for highs that could reach the low 90s with lows in the low 70s.
