Needham Runner Named Boston Globe All-Scholastic

The honor is given to the best athletes in the area at the end of the season.

NEEDHAM, MA — A member of the Needham High School cross country team has been named one of the best harriers in the state.

Junior Cameron McLeod was recently named a Boston Globe All-Scholastic. The honor is given to the best athletes in the area at the end of the season.

McLeod bounced back from an injury-plagued sophomore season with top 10 finishes at three of the biggest meets of the year. He placed seventh at the Division 1 All-State meet, fifth at the Eastern Mass. Division 1 meet, and fifth at the Bay State Conference meet (15:23).

McLeod was also named a Bay State Confrence all-star.
