Needham Snow: Weekend Storm Seemingly Losing Steam

Needham may not receive as much snow as originally predicted.

NEEDHAM, MA—It seems as if the snow storm heading for the region has lost a bit of steam.

Needham was originally projected to receive approximately five to eight inches of snow on Saturday into Sunday, but now it seems like the city will likely be hit with less. The majority of the snow is also projected to come on Sunday morning, as opposed to Saturday.

Needham’s forecast (as of 2:30 p.m. on Wednesday) calls for cloudy skies early on Saturday, with snow showers developing later in the day. Saturday’s high of 30 degrees will be accompanied by gusts of 20 to 30 miles per hour, occasionally reaching 40 miles per hour. There is a 50 percent chance of snow and accumulations are expected to total less than one inch.
