Needham Vaccinations: How Many Residents Are Fully Vaccinated?

More than 11,000 Needham residents have received both doses, according to the state's data.

NEEDHAM, MA — More than 2,400 of Needham's oldest residents have received both doses of the COVID-19 vaccine, according to the state’s data. Nearly 40 percent of Needham residents as a whole are fully vaccinated, up from 32 percent last week. Roughly 1.9 million people have been fully vaccinated in Massachusetts, the state reported Thursday.

Roughly 22 percent of the town's residents have received just the first dose. About four in five residents ages 65 to 74 are fully vaccinated, and 14 percent in that age group have received just their first dose.

Needham reported 75 cases of coronavirus in the two weeks leading up to the state report released Thursday, placing it in the "yellow" zone.
