NEEDHAM, MA — The Norfolk County Sheriff's Office is collaborating with the Needham Police Department to give people in the community special seatbelt covers for passengers with autism.

The seatbelt covers alert first responders that the passenger has autism and may resist help. The information can be crucial to first responders in an emergency trying to rescue passengers from cars.

The covers are available in the Needham Police Department lobby.
