NEEDHAM, MA — After a back-and-forth all month, the TripAdvisor headquarters in Needham will reopen as a vaccine site under Newton-Wellesley Hospital, a Mass General Brigham hospital.

First dose COVID-19 vaccines will be available at TripAdvisor for eligible Newton-Wellesley Hospital and Mass General Brigham patients. The partnership between the company and hospital represents the first large private sector company to turn over its corporate headquarters rent-free to help ensure people get vaccinated.

Originally opened at the beginning of the month, the site was paused last week after the governor announced he would be focusing on rolling out the vaccine to mass vaccination sites such as Gillette Stadium and Fenway Park.

The goal of the site is vaccinating 630 patients per day, depending on supply with plans to expand eventually. Newton-Wellesley Hospital will manage the community vaccine program out of the building seven days a week. Only patients with scheduled appointments will be accommodated —there will be no walk-in service.
