Winter Storm Warning Issued for Needham

Motorists are advised to take caution while on the roads.

NEEDHAM, MA - Be prepared for a very messy commute home.

The National Weather Service has issued a Winter Storm Warning for Norfolk County. The warning is in effect until 10 p.m. Monday.

As it has for much of the day, snow will continue to fall at a moderate and heavy pace at times before tapering off between 7 and 10 p.m., according to the NWS.

Four to eight inches of snow is expected.

The roads will rapidly deteriorate during the evening as the sun gets lower, allowing for more snow to stick to the roadways. This is expected to have a significant impact on the evening commute between Boston and Providence.

A Winter Storm Warning is issued when at least six inches of snow is expected in a 12-hour period or eight inches in a 24-hour period.
