NEWTON, MA — The Dining Car, a local business that began as one of the first food trucks in Boston in 2011, has opened a restaurant in Newton Highlands that will offer full-service catering, reported Eater Boston.

The Dining Car Cafe and Market officially opened on Tuesday, March 15 in the former Bread and Chocolate space at 4 Hartford Street. With 2,250 square feet of space, owners David Harnik and Naomi Klein were able to expand the menu to include more sandwiches, salads, and baked goods.

“People know us for our sandwiches after all those years on the street, but your space is so constrained in an 8x16-foot box,” Harnik told Eater Boston.
