'Chef Dave’s’ To Open Next Month At The Street Chestnut Hill

CHESTNUT HILL, MA — The Street Chestnut Hill is getting ready to welcome Chef Dave's, a new restaurant concept by local private chef David Welch that is set to open on Monday, May 2.

Before deciding to open his first-ever restaurant, Welch catered parties for every size and occasion, from intimate social engagements to political fundraisers. He decided to embark on his new venture in Chestnut Hill to remain close to home and still cook for many of his private clients in Boston, Cambridge, and surrounding areas.

“For over twenty-five years, I’ve been cooking in homes throughout Chestnut Hill and beyond, creating memories over beautiful, well-prepared food,” Welch said in a statement. "Now, I say, welcome to my home; a nice, cozy place where you’ll love to enjoy some of the most tasteful and artful plates imaginable, drink good wine or have a nice spirit, and delight in service that makes you feel like family.”

Chef Dave's will offer some of Welch's most famous dishes and unveil new creations in a laid-back "bistro-style" setting. The restaurant will be open for lunch, dinner, and weekend brunch, as well as takeout and customizable catering.
