The Commissioner of Public Works declared the official end of the storm as 6:00 a.m. on Sunday, Jan. 30. As a result, sidewalks in front of residential properties need to be cleared by 6:00 a.m. tomorrow, Monday, Jan. 31, 24 hours after the official end of the storm.

Bitter cold is heading our way with temperatures forecast to dip into the single digits overnight. Anything that melted during today’s sunshine will freeze and cause black ice. Be careful if you need to be on the roads driving and watch your step.

Please be patient as the cleanup will continue for a few more days. Our crews have been working since just after midnight on Friday. They will continue to clear roads, sidewalks, intersections and crosswalks.

Waste Management just notified us that trash and recycling on all our routes will be delayed one day all week due to the storm.

Please put your trash and recycling out one day later than usual this week.
