“Since our founding nearly three years ago, the IRC has been working to help build a more sustainable future for our industry, our employees and our communities,” IRC Executive Director Erika Polmar said in a statement. "What we learned during the peak of the pandemic is that when we unite our voices, we have the power to affect legislative change and that means having a continued presence in Washington, DC.”

“Independent restaurants and bars are the cornerstone of every community,” Caroline Styne, co-founder of Lucques Group and IRC Leadership Member, said in a statement. "By dedicating October to these neighborhood businesses, we will engage our grassroots network to continue improving the industry while also educating lawmakers on the important role that restaurants and bars have on the economy and communities. Our teams at AOC are proud to participate in Dine Out for Independents and help celebrate the millions of workers these small businesses employ.”
