NEWTON, MA — Area residents, commuters and visitors are being advised to expect delays in the area of Waltham Street in Newton for the next six weeks.

The work on Waltham Street will include some sidewalk, curbing and ramp accessibility work followed by paving.

Newton police advised those who use the area to seek alternate routes and to use caution while traveling through the work zone.
