Hana Shinzawa of Roslindale is Valedictorian of Montrose School.

Hana will attend Massachusetts Institute of Technology in the fall.

Hana Shinzawa of Roslindale was Valedictorian of Montrose School's class of 2024. She received high honors and was Captain of both the Cross Country and Outdoor Track & Field teams. Hana received the following recognition: LifeCompass Award, NMCom Award, Society of Women Engineers Highest Honor, Athletic Commitment Award. Additionally, her team’s work developing a detection system for Salmonella typhi through the BioBuilder’s Club was recently published in BioTreks, an international peer-reviewed academic journal. Hana will attend Massachusetts Institute of Technology in the fall.
