NEWTON, MA — Newton Community Pride has announced a "Call for Art" for the 2022 FenceART Program, a year-round public project dedicated to bringing vibrant, varied, and engaging art to neighborhoods throughout the city.

Sponsored by NCP, the FenceART Program jury chooses 20 works by Newton artists to display, embracing a broad range of styles and media that are printed on high quality vinyl banners. The banners rotate in small groups to five fence location in Newton for approximately 10 weeks at a time.

"I'm excited to curate NCP’s FenceART program in Newton once again," said Ellen Fisher, Curator of FenceART in a statement. "It has a kind of ‘permanently temporary’ quality that’s really unique. It’s a string of little outdoor galleries scattered across the city, where the artwork changes every few weeks. There’s always something worthwhile to see at each of these 5 fences, every day, all year long."
