Newton Eatery Among 2022’s All-Star U.S. Restaurants: Doordash

NEWTON, MA — When it comes to consistently delivering delicious food and top-notch service, one restaurant in Newton is among the best in the United States, according to delivery app Doordash.

Doordash recently released this year’s list of Most-Loved All-Star Restaurants, which recognizes 100 top-rated eateries that excel in food quality, service, reliability, and overall experience.

According to Doordash, fewer than 1 percent of restaurants on the platform qualify for the list.

Which restaurant made the cut in Newton?

The Modern Rotisserie & New England Soup Factory is on this year’s top-100 list. Located at 244 Needham Street, the restaurant offers fresh, from-scratch gourmet soups.

Husband and wife team Marjorie Druker and Paul Brophy started the New England Soup Factory in Brookline in 1995. Their mission for the New England Soup Factory was to “take old, good ideas and fashion them to these times. The key is to create comfort food that is good for you.”

All-Star restaurants are the top-rated in Doordash’s Most Loved program, according to a company release. In order to be a Most-Loved All-Star, a restaurant had to be among the highest-rated on Doordash and achieved Most-Loved status for at least 10 out of 12 months from April 2021 to April 2022.
