NEWTON, MA — Baramor Restaurant, Newton's charitable restaurant and bar, will be hosting a four-day “Poutine Festival” from March 28 to 31 to raise money for local nonprofits.

The event is focused around the launch of Baramor’s extensive new Poutine menu and was created for awareness and to raise needed funds for various charities in the area.

Poutine, the combination of fresh-cut fries, cheese curds, and gravy, first appeared in rural Québec snack bars in the late 1950s. The new poutine menu at Baramor pushes these limits with creative augmentations.

“We have been testing several recipes for months as specials at our restaurant and they have consecutively sold out,” said Baramor Owner Arpit Patel in a statment. "We wanted to launch an extensive menu and creating a four-day event focuses on our charity partners from Monday, March 28, 2022 through Thursday, March 31 that will run all day seemed like an idea worth trying.”

Baramor will donate $3 per poutine ordered in-house or to-go to a designated daily rotating non-profit. Alongside the charitable poutine promotion, Baramor is hosting a variety of rotating local distilleries and breweries to pair tastings, giveaways, and raffles with their new entrées.
