Newton Snow Forecast: Latest Projections for Friday, Saturday

With temperatures plummeting and snow on the way, here's a look at at what forecasters are saying you can expect this weekend.

NEWTON, MA – If you thought it couldn't get any worse than Friday's single-digit temps, well, you're probably right – depending on how much you like snow.

The National Weather Service projects two to four inches of snow Saturday, with accumulations of less than one inch possible Friday night. According to the NWS, snow will mix with rain in the morning Saturday, followed by snow and sleet later in the day. Which is to say, basically nothing for veteran New Englanders.

Weather.com projects similar levels of accumulation for the area, but places accumulation in the 3-to-5-inch range. Freezing rain is possible at night.
