Newton 2023 Voter Guide: Municipal Election Is Tuesday

Here is what you need to know for the Municipal Election.

NEWTON, MA — The City of Newton's Municipal Election is on Tuesday.

The offices on the ballot are: Councilor-At-Large in Wards 1, 2, 3, 4, 5, 6, 7, and 8, Ward Councilor in Wards 1, 2,3,4,5,6,7, and 8, and School Committee in Wards 1,2,3,4,5.6,7,and 8

There are sample ballots available online for Ward 1, Ward 2, Ward 3, Ward 4, Ward 5, Ward 6, Ward 7, and Ward 8.

Voters had to be registered by October 28.

On Election Day, the polls are open from 7 a.m. to 8 p.m. Find out where you vote here. A map of polling locations also is available.

To return your Vote By Mail Ballot:

  • Mail: the envelopes will be addressed and postage is provided (too late if not done already)
  • Ballot Drop Box: located outside the front doors of City Hall, 1000 Commonwealth Ave.
  • City Clerk's Office: drop the ballot off in person at City Hall on the first floor, during regular office hours.
