Newton's Snow Chances This Weekend

NEWTON, MA – Just days after getting "hammered" by the first real snowfall of the season, the Newton area will see a second round of flakes this weekend.

According to the National Weather Service's latest forecast, there is a chance of snow Friday night into Saturday morning. The forecast also calls for snow before 2 p.m. and after 3 p.m., with an 80 percent chance of precipitation.

Meanwhile Weather.com's latest forecast indicates that there will be snow in the morning which will mix with rain during the afternoon. The site is projecting 1 to 3 inches of snow accumulation.

Fortunately, it seems that temperatures will rise this weekend after near-arctic temperatures in the latter part of the week. Temperatures are projected in the upper 30s and low 40s this weekend.
