Park & Pedal Launches in Newton Friday

The free network of parking zones located in cycling distance from major employment centers allows you to park and bike the rest of the way.

NEWTON, MA – Park & Pedal is coming to Newton to free up the roads in some of the city's most congested employment areas and encourage more environmentally friendly methods of travel.

According to the Park & Pedal website, the initiative is a free network of parking hubs located in cycling distance from major employment centers, allowing users to park their car and ride their bike the rest of the way to work.

Friday morning, it will expand into Newton at a launch in Albemarle Park. Join Mayor Setti Warren, Newton Director of Transportation Nicole Freedman and David Montague, founder of Park & Pedal and Montague Bicycles, for a commuter breakfast and kickoff event.
