St. Patrick's Day 2022: Events In The Newton Area

NEWTON, MA — Although St. Patrick’s Day has looked a little different the past two years, celebrations in the Newton area are back on track in time for the Irish holiday.

St. Patrick’s Day falls on Thursday this year, but many events, including Boston’s St. Patrick’s Day parade, will extend into the weekend.

Boston's St. Patrick's Day Parade

The city’s annual parade will kick off at 1 p.m. on Sunday, March 20, after two years of cancellations due to the COVID-19 pandemic. The parade will return to South Boston on a slightly shorter route this year citing ongoing challenges to public health and safety.
