NEWTON, MA — Newton Health & Human Services will host six COVID-19 booster clinics starting Tuesday, Sept. 13 in the War Memorial Auditorium at City Hall.

The updated boosters, which are being offered in partnership with Holtzman Medical Group, are available for ages 12 and up. They contain a formula that both boosts immunity against the original coronavirus strain and also protects against the newer Omicron variants that account for most of the current cases.

Right now, the clinics will only offer the updated Pfizer boosters. When the updated Moderna booster vaccine shipment arrives, it will also be offered for ages 18 and up.
