Woburn Historical Society Hosting History Trolley Tour Fundraiser

The event will feature private tours of sites like First Burial Ground, Old Horn Pumping Station, Burdett Mansion and Woodbrook Cemetery.

WOBURN, MA — Woburn Historical Society has announced details of its guided History Trolley Tour fundraiser that will support the organization's historical and educational programs and events.

The Trolley Tours of Woburn's treasured history are scheduled for 11 a.m. and 2 p.m. on Sept. 24. Tickets, which are $35, currently are available through a "Members Only" Presale that lasts through Thursday. Ticket sales are open to the public beginning on Friday.

Starting at Woburn Memorial High School, 88 Montvale, Ave., the Trolley Tour will visit several historical sites, where private tours will be available.

Among the sites scheduled for the tour are: First Burial Ground, Old Horn Pumping Station, Woburn's Water Treatment Plant, Burdett Mansion, Woburn Common, Skylight Studios and Woodbrook Cemetery.

Participants also will receive a souvenir 2022 Woburn Trolley Tour Book.

Tickets for the tour can be purchased:

  • By printing an order form and mailing it with a check — made payable to Woburn Historical Society — to PO Box 91, Woburn, MA 01801.
  • In person at the Historical Society's office at Burdett Mansion, located at 7 Mishawum Rd. The office is open from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. on Monday and Wednesday and from 10 a.m. to noon on Saturday.
  • Through Eventbrite using PayPal, credit card or Apple Pay.
  • By scanning a QR code on the Woburn Historical Society website and then purchasing the tickets through Eventbrite using PayPal, credit card or Apple Pay.
