NORTH ANDOVER, MA — Stevens Pond is closed as tests showed high bacteria levels. The results of a second test will be available at noon Wednesday.

Stevens Pond posted the following on Facebook:

"Unfortunately, we've received the results of the water test from yesterday, and it is over the limit for bacteria. This means the water at Stevens Pond is closed until we get a low test result. A second test has been taken and results will be available at noon tomorrow.

"Afternoon swim lessons today 6/25 and morning swim lessons tomorrow 6/26 are canceled, and we will have an update about afternoon lessons tomorrow once we get the water test results. If test results allow us to open the water this week, there will be a makeup lesson for both AM and PM lessons this Friday 6/28 at the normal time.

"During the time that the water is closed, the beach will remain open, and we will continue to hold activities like arts and crafts this afternoon at 4pm, and a nature hike tomorrow!"
