Social evening of art to help raise funds for town art projects

Don't miss this fun night out at an art exhibit and auction while supporting public art projects in town.

You and your friends are invited to the Northborough Arts Council's (NAC) The Art of Giving, an art exhibit and auction evening. The event takes place on Saturday, April 27, 7-9 p.m. at Goodwin Farm located at 270 South Street in Northborough.

Reserve your tickets online ($35 each or $60 per couple) and enjoy an evening of an open bar of beer and wine, hors d'oeuvres from local restaurants and local music by Savannah Staples. View artwork of local artists up close, mingle with them and learn about the inspiration behind their work.

An online auction of original artwork by many local artists is open for bidding through April 27, 8:45 p.m. Please view and bid.

NAC is the new non-profit funding arm of the Northborough Cultural Council (NCC), which is dedicated to developing and funding public art projects around town. The goal is to complement the town's Master Implementation Plan by beautifying key pathways identified by the Plan. Past events sponsored by the NCC include CultureFest of Music & Arts, Go Outdoors painted doors exhibit at Ellsworth-McAfee Park, and the Apple Blossom mural on the Town Common.

Upcoming NCC events include Open Studios, Flowerful Chairs and Porchfest.

Additionally, proceeds generated from the art exhibit and auction event will support the development of future art programs and events. NAC strives to enhance Northborough's appeal as a destination by introducing captivating art installations and attractions.
