Check Out Norwood's 2021-22 School Calendar Now

School is set to begin for grades 1-12 on Sept. 7. Students will now have off for Juneteenth, which became a state holiday last summer.

NORWOOD, MA — In the midst of returning to full-time in-person learning, Norwood Public Schools released the calendar for the 2021-22 academic year. School is set to begin for grades one through 12 on Sept. 7, the day after Labor Day. Pre-K students and kindergarteners head back on Sept. 9. Kindergarten orientation will be held Sept. 8.

Students will have a break from Dec. 24 to Jan. 4 due to winter break and a professional day. Students will also have off on June 19 this year for Juneteenth. Juneteenth became a state holiday last summer, and the Department of Elementary and Secondary Education made it a school holiday as well.

June 21 is the 180th day of school, but if an additional five days of school are needed, the last day could be on June 28.
