The City of INCLUSIVITY AT QUINCY PRIDE FESTIVITIES!

The PRIDE Month kicks off in Qunicy with its exclusive events all month.

This year's festivities were held recently at the Ross Parking Way Lot celebrating this year's theme, I WAS BORN THIS WAY, marking its 7 seasons every June to promote equity, diversity, and inclusion for the City of Presidents!

Under the watchful eye of VP Coordinator of Quincy Pride and Special Events John McDonald for The City of Presidents, has again provided the City with a huge venue for all of the city's residents and beyond with more than 1000 attending all that was offered to its visitors!

Richard Ash, Ward 2 Quincy City Councilman is the Pride Committee President among the 10 Volunteer Board Members, 5 Officers, and 5 Board Members their hard dedication proved that Sunday's Event was an overwhelming success!

It included their Rainbow Premier Community Partners and Rainbow Community Partners truly made its success by their generosity of 12 major donors! But, this biggest draw and excitement for those attending was its line up of entertainment…. The group Booty Vortex wowed the audience with their unbelievable music from the 70’s and 80’s live singing and band.

Its DJ Chris Fiore kept the music flowing. One of the uplifting and purely artistic performances was 3 costumed adorned Drag Queens that worked the crowds with their performances including Lakia Mondale, Pristine Christine, and Evita Loca! Evita Loca from New York belted out many Broadway tunes with her own trained voice. She left all of us riveted by her musical talent. Not to mention that 22 Vendors graced the lot with their products, handmade items, crafts, animal toys, jewelry, food, and more to feature their talent under tents to wander to each and pick up their choices. There was an area for the City Of Quincy’s Children and youths with many attractions to entertain the children and parents alike. They had kids registration and giveaways, face painting, a musical table, a 50-foot Obstacle Course, and a Chalk Corner, it’s an entertaining lineup of Malik! The Magician Show, and a special appearance by Bluey! The children were so thrilled to have so much to keep them busy.

You can’t go without saying they had many food trucks lined up to feed and fuel Quincy Prides attendees. Such as Blacks Creek BBQ, Smiles by the Smile, Ellie’s Treats for Desserts, Thyme Traveling, Craig’s Cafe, and Break Rock Brewing for Adult Beverages they satisfied the many!
It was a wonderful day of community bonding and enjoying one of the best weather days of this spring! Kudos to all involved including Mayor Koch and his city workers who worked so hard to make every aspect of this yearly event a huge success for The City of Quincy! You can now add to The City of Presidents, The City of Diversity and Inclusion!
