After Record Heat, Heavy Rains Expected

A slow moving system is going to bring heavy rain to the area Thursday afternoon and throughout the day on Friday.

Get those umbrellas ready! After three days of record-breaking heat, showers and thunderstorms are in the forecast for Thursday and Friday.

Heavy rain will the main threat of these storms, according to the National Weather Service. Both showers and storms are expected to be slow moving.

Rain is expected to move into the Roslindale area Thursday afternoon and continue throughout most of the day on Friday before clearing out Friday night.
