The Boston Police Gaelic Column of Pipes and Drums has become a staple on the Boston Irish music scene, performing with the likes of Dropkick Murphys and playing at Mayor Tom Menino’s funeral last November.

Thursday, March 5- Annual Gaelic Column St. Patrick’s Day Fundraiser at The Cabbyshack Restaurant

  • The Boston Police Gaelic Column will host a fundraiser supporting the band at The Cabbyshack Restaurant at 30 Town Wharf in Plymouth. The event starts at 7 p.m., and tickets are available at the door. There will be Irish music, raffles and sales of the new and ever-popular Boston Police Gaelic Column t-shirts!

Saturday, March 7- Cape Cod St. Patrick’s Day Parade

  • Join the Boston Police bagpipe band at the Cape’s largest St. Patrick’s Day celebration! This two-mile parade starts at the intersection of Long Pond Drive and Route 28 in South Yarmouth at 11 a.m.

Saturday, March 7- Boston Police Foundation Annual Dinner

  • The band proudly performs at this event to honor and support fellow police officers. Money raised will help fund advanced training, officer safety and wellness, and youth outreach programs. The dinner, held at the Westin Waterfront Hotel, begins at 7 p.m.; individual tickets can be purchased online at www.bostonpolicefoundation.org.

Thursday, March 12- St. Patrick’s Day Luncheon for The Boys and Girls Club of South Boston

  • Starting at 2 p.m. at Laugh Boston (425 Summer St. in the North End), this fun-filled afternoon will support the Boys and Girls Club of South Boston. The afternoon includes delicious corned beef, festive Irish music and lots of laughs. Tickets are available for purchase at www.bcbg.org.

Friday, March 13- Walpole St. Patrick’s Day Parade and Friends of St. Patrick Luncheon

  • The Boston Police Gaelic Column marches in the Walpole St. Patrick’s Day parade starting at 11 a.m. Following the parade, the band performs at the annual luncheon that honors an individual who has made an impact in the community. Tickets to the luncheon at Demetri’s, located at 2 Washington St. in Foxboro, can be purchased online by visiting www.friendsofstpatrick.org.

Sunday, March 15- The South Boston St. Patrick’s Day Parade

  • Head on over to South Boston to celebrate with more than one million people – including The Boston Police Gaelic Column! The band will again lead this St. Patrick’s Day Parade, which kicks off at 1 p.m. This popular event draws in huge crowds, so be sure to get there early! The route begins on West Broadway and ends on Dorchester Avenue.

Tuesday, March 17- The Annual Gaelic Column St. Patrick’s Day Bus Tour

  • Join the Boston Police Gaelic Column at 9 a.m. for this St. Patrick’s Day tradition as the band makes appearances at its favorite Boston watering holes, including the Erie Pub in Dorchester and Doyle’s Café in Jamaica Plain. Check out the band’s Facebook page, The Boston Police Gaelic Column of Pipes and Drums, for a schedule as the day approaches. Before the tour, the band makes a special appearance for a private performance for the patients, families and staff at the Franciscan Hospital.

Sunday, March 22- The Abington St. Patrick’s Day Parade

  • St. Patrick’s Day may be over, but the fun continues for The Boston Police Gaelic Column! Come to Abington as the band leads yet another festive parade. It starts at 1 p.m. in the center of town.
