ROSLINDALE, MA - A Craigslist post advertising openings for managers and employees at a proposed Roslindale Taco Bell has left locals with a bad taste in their mouths.

The ad, posted on the Keep Roslindale Quirky Facebook group on Monday, promises that the brand new Taco Bell in Roslindale is "opening soon."

This despite the proposed location on American Legion Highway having not yet received approval from the Zoning Board of Appeals or the Boston Licensing Board, Universal Hub reported.

In fact, the company still has to submit paperwork for licensing permits, and its proposal was unanimously vetoed by a local neighborhood association in April, according to Universal Hub.

It would seem some Roslindale residents are less than thrilled about welcoming another fast food chain to the area.

But that hasn't stopped Taco Bell, which posted the Craigslist ad three days ago. After surfacing on the Keep Roslindale Quirky group on Monday, some commenters made their opinions known.

"Did we think that the city would listen to the concern of the neighbors?" one commenter posted.

Another wrote, "Cozying right up to the backyard gardens of the Haley K-8 school. Fun times."

A third sardonically condemned the company's policy of offering half price meals to workers: "It's nice that they offer half-priced meals to their salaried workers; such a win for the corporation. 'Here, here's some money for working here. Now, you give some back to me so you can eat the food here.'"
