As the 128th Boston Marathon approaches, a Boston couple is gearing up to celebrate the spirit of the iconic event in a unique and dazzling way.

The Hugenbergers have meticulously choreographed their light show using xLights, a free and open-source software program renowned for its ability to synchronize lighting displays with music, creating an immersive and exhilarating experience for viewers. Their house will come alive with pulsating lights and heartwarming melodies starting at approximately 7:30PM every night before and through Marathon Monday, April 15th.
What sets this display apart is not only its stunning visual spectacle but also the heartfelt message of encouragement it sends to the runners participating in the Boston Marathon. Each sequence of lights dances in harmony with the uplifting music, cheering on the dedicated athletes who will soon traverse the historic streets of Boston.
But the Hugenbergers' creativity doesn't stop there. In addition to the captivating light show, projections will be cast onto the attic window and front door of their home, featuring short video images and inspiring photos related to the marathon, further enhancing the immersive experience for passersby.
These homeowners are known for their epic holiday decorations and in particular, their all-out Halloween setup. And in their Boston neighborhood in Roslindale, their home is dubbed the "holiday house" for their fun and eye-catching holiday displays.
"We wanted to do something special to show our support for the Boston Marathon and its participants," said Chris Hugenberger. "The marathon holds a special place in our hearts, and we hope that our light display brings joy and inspiration to everyone who sees it."
