Mayor Walsh: "This Isn't Loon Mountain"

Bostonians have been jumping into snowbanks and capturing footage of their feats for all the world to see.

The most recent activity generating social media buzz, in the giant igloo that is New England at least, is the filming of residents jumping out of their home windows or off their decks into snowbanks.

The Boston Herald reported that Mayor Martin Walsh is urging city residents to use common sense.

“We’re asking people to act responsibly in the city of Boston,” Walsh said in a press conference. “This isn’t Loon Mountain, this is the city of Boston, where we’re trying to remove snow off of the street and it becomes very dangerous. And the last thing we want to do is respond to an emergency call where somebody jumped out of the window because they thought it was a funny thing to do.”
